Spectrum ASA Kevlar
Aramid Fiber Reinforced ASA | Extreme Impact Resistance
Spectrum ASA Kevlar is a high-performance technical filament that combines the weather-resistant properties of ASA with the legendary strength of Kevlar (Aramid fibers). Designed for parts that must survive heavy impact and constant friction, this material provides a level of toughness that standard ABS or carbon-filled filaments cannot match.
Unlike carbon fiber, which increases rigidity but can make parts brittle, Kevlar fibers act as a shock absorber within the plastic matrix. This prevents catastrophic failure during impact, making it the ideal choice for tactical gear, automotive protective components, and high-wear industrial machinery.
Parts printed with ASA Kevlar are significantly more resistant to abrasion. Additionally, Kevlar fibers are non-conductive and do not interfere with radio frequencies, making this filament superior to carbon fiber for electronic enclosures and signal-transmitting equipment.
🔨 Extreme Impact Strength
Absorbs energy during collisions, preventing the part from shattering or cracking under high dynamic loads.
☀️ UV & Weather Resilience
Inherits the best of ASA: perfect for outdoor use without yellowing, fading, or losing mechanical properties in sunlight.
📉 Low Shrinkage & Warping
The aramid fiber reinforcement significantly stabilizes the dimensions, making it easier to print large industrial components.
⚙️ Industrial Wear Resistance
Provides a low-friction surface that resists mechanical wear, ideal for sliders, gears, and protective covers.
- Protective housings for drones and RC vehicles
- Automotive under-the-hood and exterior trim
- Industrial gears, cams, and high-friction sliders
- Tactical equipment and protective sports gear
- Electronic enclosures (RF transparent)
- Functional prototypes for extreme environments

* Important Hardware Note: While Kevlar fibers are less abrasive than carbon fibers, they still cause wear on brass nozzles over time. For consistent extrusion and long-term reliability, a hardened steel nozzle of at least 0.4mm is required.
