Spectrum PA6-CF15 is a professional-grade composite material that merges the chemical versatility of Polyamide 6 (Nylon 6) with the extreme mechanical properties of high-modulus carbon fibers. This synergy results in a filament that is exceptionally stiff, dimensionally stable, and incredibly resistant to heat.
Designed for end-use industrial components, PA6-CF15 offers a significant reduction in weight while maintaining a load-bearing capacity that rivals some aluminum alloys. The integrated carbon fibers act as a microscopic reinforcement lattice, virtually eliminating the shrinking and warping issues typically associated with 3D printing pure nylon.
Due to the 15% carbon fiber content, this filament is highly abrasive. To ensure consistent extrusion and prevent machine damage, a Hardened Steel Nozzle (or Ruby/Tungsten Carbide) is strictly required. Standard brass nozzles will experience rapid wear within hours of printing.
